Endorsements

We are proud to announce that our Democratic slate has now received endorsements from elected officials at all levels of government.

At the Village level, Trustees Mitchell Bard, Josie Bloom, and Kent Kleiman have all endorsed Arlene, David, and Larry.

At the federal, state, and county levels, Congressman George Latimer, NYS Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins, NYS Assembly Member MaryJane Shimsky, County Executive Ken Jenkins, County Legislator David Imamura, and former Congressman Mondaire Jones have provided their endorsements.

With the support of these elected officials, Arlene, David, and Larry can count on effective partnerships to deliver for our community.

Burgos, Ogrodnek, and Zwiebel have the experience, vision, and commitment

As the federal government guts and sterilizes public institutions that are cornerstones of our society, we need — now more than ever — local leadership that is willing to take principled stands and who have tested experience, vision, and deep commitment to making Irvington a better and welcoming place to live. Deputy Mayor Arlene Burgos, past Trustee Larry Ogrodnek, and David Zwiebel have these qualifications and are the best candidates to lead Irvington.

Former Congressman Backs Burgos

In 2025, Irvington will elect a new mayor. I am proud to endorse Deputy Mayor Arlene Burgos for this critical role. Arlene possesses the qualifications, vision, and dedication necessary to guide the Village through upcoming challenges, including the recruitment and onboarding of its first village administrator in 30 years. Her professional background and tenure as deputy mayor and trustee provide her with the skills and experience to address pressing issues such as upgrading Village facilities, managing complex financial and legal matters, and seizing opportunities to revitalize Main Street, including the development of affordable housing on Village-owned properties.
